Celebrating Student Success Stories

While in school I was able to experience an internship through a local nursing home. I was able to gain hands on knowledge through it!

-- Jennifer

I did a paper for HIT 213 on Advanced Directives and had some amazing interviews with my co-workers who work for hospice. It gave me insight on the family, patient, and care coordination. I have also had some conversations with an RN who does IDC-10 billing for a home health company. She has been an amazing resource for the real-world billing scenarios.

-- Sherri

While attending DeVry University I have learned skills for marketing, customer relations and critical thinking. I have taken the skills that I have learned and utilized them to help my friends and family build their businesses and social media platforms to increase their sales and gain new clients. I have also become a member of The National Honors Society of Leadership and Success as well as Delta Mu Delta, The International Honors Society of Business. I'm proud to be DeVry Strong. They help me to strengthen my community.

-- Kayla

I got experience during my undergrad years by volunteering to serve in World Changers International Church's media department. During my service there, I operated as a grip, broadcast camera operator and camera crew director.

-- Roger

I gained experience by joining a professional organization that was the American Health Management Association

-- Deborah

I was asked to do an informal interview with my sister-in-law because she's a medical biller. I asked questions about the field to receive any advice that would help.
